The Jazz Club would like to let you know about an opportunity to hear some fantastic jazz in Kelowna at the BC Interior Jazz Festival. The Jazz Artists’ Showcase Concert, with the Festival Big Band, takes place Friday evening April 8.

The show features renowned saxophonist ​Campbell Ryga. Directed by Craig Thomson, the band includes Zach Griffin, Lucy Benwell, Craig Thomson, Stephen Buck, Darren Williams (saxes); Joe Auty, Michael Perkins, Nicholas Dyson, Kimberly Stephans (trumpets); Wade Dorsey, Bob Rogers, Chris Manuel, Gord Waters (trombones); Loni Moger (guitar), Neville Bowman (piano), Stefan Bienz (bass), and Scott Gamble (drums).

The Showcase Concert is the highlight of an annual event that sees local jazz bands from Sullivan (directed by David Isaac-Zirco) and Jackson (directed by Nick Everett) schools competing with other bands from around the province. Click here for additional details and tickets.
