The world-infused psychedelic sound of MOZI BONES is coming back to the Salmon Arm Jazz Club, and they’re bringing some friends.
The unique MOZI BONES sound was crafted through countless hours of late-night improvisations. The distinctive bass lines and multilingual vocal stylings of Emilie Bradford, incessant guitar antics of Jordan Dick and driving drum grooves of Darrin Herting combine to make an unmistakably original experience. The diversity among these musicians defines MOZI BONES as a group; a fusion of sounds influenced by multi-cultural stories.
They have been featured in the audio-visual documentary ‘Celebrate Shuswap’, a closeup look at the music industry in the Shuswap region of British Columbia. Their original composition 'Sank' was also featured on the “Wednesday on the Wharf” live sessions album, a compilation of music promoting local BC artists and found on streaming platforms everywhere.
With Emilie now travelling again after the pandemic lockdown, you'll hear new stories, fresh sounds and their ever-evolving improvisational daring. And for this event they’re bringing some friends along for the ride. Expect a few surprises as they continue to explore new grooves, sounds, and textures together.
