For our second show of the new season, we are pleased to present Montreal based guitarist Sam Kirmayer. Kirmayer’s playing has been described as “no pretence or posturing, only musical sincerity” (Jazz Guitar Life). CBC Music included him in their list of "The 35 Best Canadian Jazz Musicians Under 35”. Sam’s sophomore album, High And Low (Cellar Live) features first call Montreal drummer Dave Laing and internationally acclaimed New York City based organist Ben Paterson, who Downbeat has described as “as soulful a pianist/organist as exists anywhere.” This promises to be a great show!
