Slide Area is a collaboration born from the mind of Gareth Seys in an effort to balance out the scene between all the GUITAR players and shows we have here! HA! In seriousness, we have a plethora of amazing trombonists in this area who deserve to have their talents showcased, and what better way than starting a band with 4 bones and a killer rhythm section? The repertoire will be a community affair with charts coming from all members of the horn section either by commission or by arrangements done themselves, with tunes ranging from jazz standards to grunge rock classics, with some great latin music in between!

Trombonists featured in this project are Gareth Seys, Rich Thorne and Gordon Waters from Salmon Arm, and Bob Rogers from Revelstoke. Richard Graham from Kamloops will be playing drums on this show and he brings his flair for creativity and his passion for groove to the ensemble. Dan Smith will be on bass, alongside Jordan Dick on guitar and Colin Spence on the keys - all of our local heros who continue to impress us all with their passion for jazz and music in general!
